Mr. Tomáš Pfeiffer, the Director of the Professional Chamber Sanator, at the conference in Brussels
Mr. Tomáš Pfeiffer, Director of the Professional Chamber Sanator, attended a conference in Brussels organized by EUROCAM entitled "Reducing the Need for Antibiotics; The Contribution of CAM Treatment Strategies". The conference addressed one of the current global health problems, which is antimicrobial resistance. In addition to the growing number of oncological patients or the increase of chronically ill people, this topic is one of the biggest challenges in the field of healthcare in general.
A potential menace counting up to 10 million deaths caused by antimicrobial resistance by 2050 was stated at the conference.* The aim of the conference was to find help also in the field of CAM, which has potential not only in terms of improving the quality of life of the people, but also in terms of financial savings of national healthcare systems.
